    Yavapai College Gathers Forty Local Employers for Prescott Job Fair

    Prescott News – More than forty employers – from state agencies to education to health care providers and more – will gather to offer local job-seekers their next career move, when Yavapai College and the Regional Economic Development Center host the Prescott Job Fair, Wednesday April 9, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Walraven Gym, (Bldg. 2) on Yavapai College’s Prescott Campus.

    Participants can apply for part-time, full-time, temporary, and seasonal jobs, while meeting with representatives from local businesses and industries and receiving the latest information about career trends in the community.

    Exhibitors at the April 9 event include the AARP Foundation, Arizona Department of Economic Services (DES), the Arizona Pioneers Home, Circle of Life Alzheimer’s Homes, the Boys & Girls Club, Child & Family Support Services, the City of Prescott, Commonspirit, Elwood Staffing, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Eric Strobel Insurance Agency, Inc., the Family Involvement Center, Fann Contracting, Inc., Farmers Insurance, Halstead, Inc., Hospice of Yavapai County, Hozhoni Foundation, Inc., Laser Gifts, My Kids’ Dentist, NACOG EWD, NACOG Head Start/Early Head Start, U.S. Navy Recruiting Office, Northern Arizona Healthcare, Northern Arizona University CSV, Oogies Dogs, Paulden Community School, Polara Health, Prescott Broadcasting LLC, Prescott Unified School District #1, Printpack, Quail Construction, Rehabilitation Service Administration, Royal Life Centers, Sherwin-Williams, the U.S. Air Force, Verde Valley Assisted Living, Visiting Angels, Yavapai College, Yavapai County Human Resources, Yavapai County Public Works, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, Yavapai Exceptional Industries and Yavapai Landscaping.

    The Prescott Job Fair is coordinated by Yavapai College and YC’s Regional Economic Development Center (REDC). Yavapai College operates six campuses and centers throughout Yavapai County and offers over 100 degrees and certificates, two baccalaureate degrees, student and community services, and cultural events and activities. The Regional Economic Development Center at Yavapai College is a resource center dedicated to building strong communities and increasing opportunities for residents through economic development.
