SEDONA, Ariz. – The city of Sedona’s Parks and Recreation Department will host the sixth annual WagFest on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Posse Ground Pavilion at Posse Grounds Park, located at 525 Posse Ground Rd.

This free community event features a variety of dog-focused fun and games, including the opening pup parade at 8:45 a.m., a costume contest at 9 a.m. and games of musical sits (the doggie version of musical chairs, with prizes for the winner) throughout the morning! There will also be a free raffle, gift bags for the first 100 attendees (with a dog!), special treats, pet portraits, canine-centric vendors and exhibitors, informative presenters, opportunities for education and more. This event is supported by our Leader of the Pack Sponsor: Verde Valley Humane Society, our Top Dog Sponsor: The Golden Bone, and our Bow Wow Sponsors: Renewal by Andersen and Arborist Standards.

“It’s fun for all, but first and foremost for our four-legged friends! WagFest is a unique and enjoyable event for our town’s dog lovers, and I’m excited to host it yet again,” said city of Sedona Special Events Coordinator Jason Vargo.

For more event details about WagFest, visit the Parks and Recreation Department’s events page at www.sedonaaz.gov/parkevents or call (928) 282-7098.
