Clarkdale AZ (May 8, 2017) – On May 7, 2017 the Verde Valley Fire District (VVFD) responded to a rescue assignment at E. Tuzigoot Rd for an injured person. Upon arrival crews found a 77 year old female who had fallen while fishing.
Medical survey revealed a possible broken arm and minor head injury. Patient was mobilized and transported to Verde Valley Medical Center by Verde Valley Ambulance Company (VVAC). Assisting VVFD was VVAC and Clarkdale Police Department.
A reminder to our residents is to be careful while walking on uneven terrain, wear proper foot ware, and use a cane or walking sticks for stability.
