    Verde Valley SciTech Festival 2026 Returns with a Month of Free STEM Events

    Verde Valley, AZ — The Verde Valley STREAM Council is excited to announce the return of the Verde Valley

    SciTech Festival, a month-long celebration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)

    taking place throughout February 2026. Brought to the community by the City of Cottonwood, the festival will

    feature 75 free events across the Verde Valley, inviting families to explore, discover, and engage with STEM

    in fun and meaningful ways.

    Designed to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers, the SciTech Festival connects

    children and families with high-quality, hands-on STEM experiences at no cost. Through collaboration with a

    wide range of local and statewide partners, the festival highlights the rich STEM resources available

    throughout the Verde Valley while encouraging community involvement and learning.

    The 2025 festival welcomed more than 1,700 participants, and organizers anticipate even greater

    participation this year. Attendees can expect hands-on activities, live demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and

    opportunities to connect directly with STEM professionals and organizations.

    Participating organizations include SciTech Institute, Science Vortex, Friends of the Verde River, Arizona State

    Parks, Cottonwood Public Library, Camp Verde Community Library, Community Library Sedona, Clark

    Memorial Library, Beaver Creek Library, Cottonwood Community Nature Center, Northern Arizona Audubon,

    Sedona Gift Shop

    Yavapai County Flood Control District, Yavapai Exploration and Science, City of Sedona Parks & Recreation,

    Cottonwood Oak-Creek School District, Camp Verde Elementary School, Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary

    School, Beaver Creek School, Mingus Union High School, Sonoran Reptiles, Verde Valley Sanctuary, Arizona

    Science Center, Central Arizona Modelers, and the Town of Clarkdale.

    Families are encouraged to take part in this exciting celebration of STEM, with events happening throughout

    the Verde Valley and activities for children of all ages.

    The festival kicks off with the SciTech Festival Kickoff Extravaganza on January 31, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

    at Science Vortex, sponsored by Coyote Trails Golf Course.
