Verde Valley News – Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC) earned an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit patient safety steward that sets standards for hospitals. Leapfrog assigns a letter grade to hospitals across the country based on over 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them. VVMC joins well-known hospitals in receiving an ‘A’ grade from Leapfrog, such as Mayo Clinic- Phoenix, Cleveland Clinic Health System, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. NAH’s other hospital, Flagstaff Medical Center, was also recognized with an ‘A’ safety grade for Spring 2025.

“I’m thrilled to extend a huge congratulations to the entire staff at VVMC for receiving an ‘A’ grade in the Spring 2025 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades,” said Dave Cheney, CEO of Northern Arizona Healthcare. “The award is an independent testament to the care NAH provides patients in our community. It is so important to have a safe work environment in a hospital setting, for both the patients and the staff, and to see our colleagues at VVMC recognized for properly executing best-in-class safety protocols, shows the level of commitment that NAH has when it comes to providing exceptional care to our patients,” Cheney added.

“Achieving an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade reflects enormous dedication to patient safety,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “I extend my congratulations to Verde Valley Medical Center, its leadership, clinicians, staff and volunteers for creating a culture where patients come first.”

There is a movement happening in the A.I. universe that few are talking about but soon almost everyone that uses it, will. People are moving beyond using their A.I. as tools for research, writing, editing, etc. and are now beginning to use their A.I.s for other things, like advice, conversation and even counseling.
