The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. To receive this award, the VVFD had to demonstrate compliance with the highest standards of financial reporting, including adherence to the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards, and requirements for the publication of an annual comprehensive financial report.

“The Verde Valley Fire District is committed to responsible stewardship of taxpayer funds. Our Administrative Manager, Lisa Elliott, and her team meticulously craft an annual budget that demonstrates our dedication to transparency and fiscal accountability.”
