Arizona News – Changes are coming to the Upper Lake Mary and Narrows recreation sites that include onsite automated fee machines and honoring multiple passes many people may already possess.
Beginning May 4, people may purchase a daily pass for $10 or a weekly pass for $15 at the Upper Lake Mary and Narrows boating sites through an onsite automated machine. Fees remain the same as previous years.
The America the Beautiful passes and Red Rock Annual pass will now be honored at these recreation sites and would need to be displayed on vehicle dashboards during use of the area.
The cost of the Red Rock Annual pass is $20, and the America the Beautiful passes differ in price according to what type you purchase. These passes are not available at Upper Lake Mary or Narrows boating sites but can be purchased at one of the Coconino National Forest ranger stations, as well as the Lake Mary Country Store and Flagstaff Visitor Center.
Reservations for ramadas for group-use at Upper Lake Mary are no longer available. These facilities are now available on a first-come first-served basis. Reservable ramadas are still available at Lower Lake Mary by calling (928) 774-9671.
Special Use Permits are required for groups over 75 visitors, and requests should be made through the Flagstaff Ranger District at (928) 526-0866.
Funds from purchases of recreation passes directly support visitor services, beach and boat ramp maintenance, and natural and cultural resource protection around Upper Lake Mary.
