Sedona News – The University Women of Sedona will host their next informational program on Monday, October 7 at 9:30 a.m. when Maudelle Terry will present “How to Complain and Win”. Maudelle lived in Europe for four years. While there she paid close attention to how other countries handled complaints and then she added those observations to her Business Etiquette training. Having been a TV news reporter only gave her a stronger voice and attitude, which is most helpful when making a complaint.
Terry’s business and consulting career began at San Francisco’s Urban League in 1968, leading to her being hired as a reporter for ABC-TV7 in San Francisco. Her broadcast career led to a few stints on television shows and in commercials. Her varied background includes time at Levi Strauss, IBM, and locally with the Sedona Community Foundation. She and her family traveled the world, living in the Netherlands and England. She is also the author of “Grandma Baker’s Rules for Understanding Life and Men”.
This meeting is open to women in the Verde Valley who are interested in this topic and the opportunity to network with other women who are involved in elevating women through education and are invited to attend this or a future meeting. University Women of Sedona’s mission is to give scholarships to support women in furthering their educational opportunities to an accredited local college or university. Refreshments will be served.
The Sedona chapter meets on the first Monday of every month at 9:30 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church of Sedona at 25 Chapel Road. For more information, contact Jan Anderson at 928-254-1133 or universitywmnsedona@gmail.com.
