Camp Verde News – The Town of Camp Verde is now accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Town Council, following the resignation of former Mayor Dee Jenkins. Jenkins submitted her formal resignation on April 16, 2025, after being unanimously appointed by the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors to serve as the District 2 Supervisor. Vice Mayor Marie Moore was sworn in as Mayor later that day.

With Mayor Moore’s transition, a vacancy now exists on the Town Council. In accordance with Section 2-1-4 of the Town Code, the Council must fill the vacant seat within 60 days (no later than June 16, 2025). The appointed individual will serve until the next regularly scheduled Town Council election.
