… this Coopers Hawk is patiently waiting for a flyby of his breakfast on wings, and sooner than later his opportunity came. I didn’t see the outcome, but minutes after I took this shot he was on the move either to another perch or some food had flown by and he was on the chase. They are an absolutely ferocious aerial combat machine and it is fun to watch them in action.
I have heard from quite a few people that in the new format they are unable to save the photos that are embedded in these emails. Since the purpose of this exercise is to share the beauty I find every day, I set up a dropbox in which I will store the images that I send out. If you use it, please make sure you do not delete any images in the process of your downloading images. Most of the images are 1200 x 800 pixels at 72 ppi so they will not print a very large image but they are great for the screen. As always they are for your personal use and not for commercial use without prior permission. Feel free to share them on Facebook or forward the emails to whomever you wish … just give me photo credit.
The link to the dropbox account is: http://tinyurl.com/TedsBlog2014 and be sure to bookmark it. To get it started I added all photos that I have sent out this year (2014) .
If you see an image you would like for your wall just let me know. I am in the process of redesigning the websites and will include buying options on them, but until that day just let me know which photo you want and we’ll work a deal.
Today was an exceptional one … not sure why, it was just a really good day. Oiling cabinets, doors and furniture … more to go. Moved paintings and photos around on the walls, a couple of walks. Slow cooked two roasts in barbeque sauce and in addition to tonight have enough for eleven more meals. Highly recommend http://lynda.com for online studies … doing courses on Muse now to help on some of the esoteric features I want to build into my websites. Fun!
A wrap of the day and can almost taste the morning espresso already … whoops, that is coming up in just a few hours.
Have a wonderful day and if you are reading this you are having a great one … you woke up this morning :+)
Cheers
Ted
Though work bring naught of power nor wealth
Spare me from want of common needs, And give a share of manly health,
A few good friends of honest deeds;
And till death’s peaceful slumber nears, a life of undishonored years.
