… its June again and we begin another new week … early morning finds me back up on the cliff documenting the Red Tail Hawk family … the kids are about to fledge and if I’m lucky I get to see it happen again this year. It is getting to be about that time when all new life is preparing to leave the nests and dens … the real world awaits them!

The shot above was taken from above Jacks Canyon and the mountain in the foreground is Munds Mountain. We’re looking to the WSW, and you can pick out many of the local red rocks and the airport is above and right of center. I’m once again picking up the quest to refine my portfolio … I’ll never finish the job, but it is a worthy objective.

Below is a Great Blue Heron wheeling away from us as we approached him on the lake.

Have a beautiful day … smile and keep breathing!

    Cheers,

    Ted

Out of the winter of the past have crept the buds of
spring, and once again have I planted love in my heart,
and therefor found love in others.

The lips of malice have at last whispered a gentle
word and courage was born in me again.

Toils, though it brought not what I sought, brought
something, and nursed again to life the withered
    blooms of hope.

The dogmas of the world that bound me to pain I cut,
    as with a knife;

And now I wander freely, taking counsel of my human
nature and the love of life, lingering where I will,
    denying me nothing.

And through the mist of the world I seem to see again
the God of my youth; but grown older, gentler, and
more compassionate, as I myself am older and more
    compassionate.
