By Ted Grussing
… the conditions were great for wave flying at the peaks yesterday and these beautiful standing lenticular clouds (aka Lennies) behind the peaks show just how great the conditions were. I should have abandoned my photo shoot project and headed up there to get some incredible flying in, but I didn’t. There will be more days like this and as in years past I will be up there working the wave.
I took the shot from Long Canyon looking north and the red rock formation is where the Colorado Plateau breaks off into the Sedona and Verde Valley area … you can see another canyon just beyond the rim and that is West Fork Canyon which continues to the east and opens into Oak Creek Canyon.
Another good day here and got some work done on Mariah … always a fun project working on her.
Got a pleasant surprise this afternoon when I discovered that I can shop online at Basha’s and they will delivery the groceries to my home. Costs a little more, but well worth it.
That’s it … hope your day was good too … enjoy the beauty of where you live and the people around you … puppies and kittens too.
Cheers
Ted
