… another advantage of being human is the variety of beverages we can enjoy … for this Grackle and most other creatures that inhabit this planet, water is their only choice. I took this shot a few weeks ago when shooting at The Gilbert Riparian Preserve and all the birds were coming down for a few sips before continuing on.

Some friends suggested to me that the rock formation I sent out as Coffee Pot rock was in fact Chimney Rock … reviewing the full size image I concur. I did locate Coffee Pot Rock this morning and kinda guess it may look like one of the old coffee pots that you would use on a campfire. Chimney Rock does not really look like a chimney either … in fact, most of the rocks that are named only vaguely resemble what they are named for. Methinks that who ever named them had consumed an alternative liquid to excess and probably should have stuck to water like our grackle does and spent his time laying on his back and studied the shapes of the clouds as they morphed from one shape to another.

An excellent day today … breakfast with friends at the airport, a visit with Jennifer at Sedona Dental Arts in the afternoon and a haircut by Dennis at Village Barber early evening. Temporarily I am presentable …

Have a beautiful day, keep breathing and smiling, life is truly remarkable and we are here … if you are given another 24 hours of life, what will you do with it?

    Cheers

    Ted
