… this will be a short one as I am leaving for Lake Pleasant in not that many hours … hopeful of getting some shots like these or even better. There are a couple of birds reported down there that I have yet to get shots of, so I’m hopeful that I can share some great ones of them tomorrow night.

Above we have a pair of Cinamon Teal flying a tight formation as they rocket through the area and below a great blue heron that is flaring as he comes in for a landing between two snowy egrets. The lighting was not great and thus the kind of washed out blue/grey appearance. Blue pigment is not found in birds … it is a structural color that depends on the interaction of light with the feather structure to produce the blue color.

Have an absolutely beautiful day and allow pleasure and fuzzy warm feelings to intrude on the busyness of your day … smile and be kind.

    Cheers,

    Ted

After the day’s struggle, there is no freedom like
unfettered thought, no sound like the music of silence.
And though behind you lies a road of dust and heat, and
before you the fear of untried paths, in this brief hour
you are the master of all highways, and the universe nestles
in your soul. Therefore, in the night, sit still a while
and dream awake, ere you lie down to sleep.

    Does it Really Matter?

Does it matter if life is illusory or real, if this a material world like most everyone thinks or a dream? It looks and feels real, it offers sensations and feelings that attest to its realness.
