    … I love this shot of an American White Pelican that was flying directly at us on the lake with his wings fully extended … he seemed more like an airplane doing a flyover than a living creature coming over us. Click on the link to learn more about this amazing bird and who they hang out with.

    I frequently see turtles at the lake, but seldom shoot them. I do not know a great deal about them but need to learn more … we have ten species in Arizona, and I think these guys are pond turtles, but not sure. They live a long time and beyond that I need to do some study!

    Into another new day … a fresh one and methinks a very good one … finishing up another stone and picked a fairly complex design to facet on this one … photo to follow.

    Smile keep breathing and share the joy you find in life!

    Cheers,

    Ted

    Draw your chair beside me here,
    As in other times, my dear;
    Do not talk or even smile,
    Sit in silence for a while;
    Sweet contentment over all,
    As the shadows on us fall.
    ‘Tis the best of all my life,
    After each day’s toil and strife,
    In the time of night and dew,
    Thus to sit alone with you.
