… a long and productive day working on a series of photos for a job … also a day to try out some new techniques utilizing new tools in Photoshop. The photo above is from last weeks feeding frenzy at Lake Pleasant and shows three Great Blue Herons as they depart an area of intense fishing as the fish had evidently moved on or simply dove to safe levels beneath the surface of the lake. All in all the herons, egrets, cormorants and grebes did pretty well … so did the photographers!

The image below is the product of some re-imagining of a photo I took of the volcanic field in the area of Sunset Crater which is also in the photo, top right. Trying to get a feel for what it was like back in the day.

Wrapping the day and week with plans to be back Monday morning … happy June ,,, keep smiling and breathing!

    With Joy,

    Ted

When it rains and one is much indoors,
one is likely to meditate on the
    shortcomings of life.
Let me think—how shall I make myself
    kind, gentle, considerate?
I do believe it has stopped raining.
I can go out now. I’ll go and shoot on
    the archery range.
I’ll not bother to reform myself today.
    Perhaps tomorrow—if it is raining.
and I must stay indoors, and meditate
    on the shortcomings of life.

    Does it Really Matter?

Does it matter if life is illusory or real, if this a material world like most everyone thinks or a dream? It looks and feels real, it offers sensations and feelings that attest to its realness.
