    … continuing to go through shots from last May since I haven’t been shooting that much the last few weeks and it is fun finding that the photographs you took previously are still pretty good shots. You go through the initial shoot after you get them, get rid of the shots that you consider not worthy of saving and then those that remain are nicely keyworded and filed. The next day you go out again seeking even better shots than the ones you just took, because we all know that the ultimate shot has yet to be taken and the new folders will contain even greater work.

    Time goes by and you get a little curious about all those shots you have culled and stored as worthy images for further consideration … and you find, yeah, you really got some good ones, like this Scrub Jay I shot in Eric’s yard last May 17th … and our Scrub Jay even has a peanut in his beak which shortly thereafter found its way into the digestive system of our feathered friend.

    So, it was a good day, cleared to fly and go boating again; visited with some friends and enjoyed the drive to and from Flagstaff. Love the forest and the sounds of the wind soughing in the pines. Trips are being planned for later this summer and fall and we’ll see where the year takes us … I like loose plans and still weighing options as I would like to do a long trip and take One with me. We’ll see, and it is nice to have these options again.

    That’s it for the week, and I’ll be back Monday morning … always seek the beauty that surrounds you and share your joy … smile and keep breathing! YOU’RE ALIVE!!!

    Cheers

    Come you who are weary, and sit in the shadow of my faith; and when you are rested we shall
    journey together, singing gleefully on the highway, lending many a hand, yet passing ever on and on;
    and at nightfall, tired and content, we shall light the candles in the house of love, thank God in cheerful
    words, and lie down to peaceful sleep.

    Whack – A – Mole War

    It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
