    Today’s Photo from Ted Grussing Photography: … the moods of winter

    … I finished the March article for Sedona Monthly this evening and it was a fun one to write and I included a bit about my sleeping in in the morning now. On a years ago trip to Europe we bought some down comforters that are absolutely the best reason to convince me to spend extra morning hours soaking up the warmth whilst my face chilled from the windows open all night provides perfect contrast … Katie (my black cat) is usually lying down on top of me or snuggled up to my back. So I just lie there and contemplate getting up. Problem is that it eats into my time to drink espresso … worth it though! I still get at least 10 shots down before noon 🙂

    After I finished the article I ended up looking in a folder that I haven’t been in for sometime and found some fun photos with visual appeal from fog to crisp snow scenes, so here they are.

    Above is a shot that I believe I took from airport mesa when the clouds were hanging well below the rocks, cloud base likely less than 100 feet above the ground … so I had some fun with it and hope you enjoy Misty Sedona Morning.

    Below is a shot I took down near the clubhouse which is between the tenth and eighteenth holes … one set of tracks from a person who got down there before me … what a beautiful place we live in. A mild snow free winter so far, but there is still time … and future years.

    Have a beautiful day, smile and extend warm wishes to those you meet and greet … and do keep breathing, makes the day so much better!

    Cheers

    I ponder o’er myself, indifferently just,
    Breathless in the roaring sea of time.—
    Let me forgive much, forget more;
    Let me close my eyes and fall half asleep,
    That the pictures may grow softer and stiller,
    And the life, O thou God! again grow gentle.

    It Takes a Lifetime and Sometimes Even More

    By Amaya  Gayle

    Sedona, AZ — It takes a lifetime (perhaps lifetimes) of stretching and expanding, ripping and tearing, just to move through one’s predispositions, to meet one’s inbred resistance and evolve to the grace of simple tolerance. During this precious part of the journey, it feels like you are taking the steps, are choosing right, left or straight ahead, that you are in the game.
