… after my appointment in Phoenix this morning, I headed out to Lake Pleasant to see how it looked … down almost thirty feet since June and seems to be holding at the 2022 levels which are about six feet below the 2023 level. Kinda fun to drive along the shore and then park a few feet from the water and wait for the wildlife to show up … or not.

The photo below is of a Grackle that was strutting down the shoreline in search of a meal. He located a shell fish that was barely visible and spent a couple of minutes digging it out of the gravel/sand before opening it with his beak and eating the inhabitant of the shell. Across the bay I saw an Osprey dive into the lake and come up with a nice fish that he flew off with … way to far to get a photo of him, but fun to just watch the process … sometimes more satisfying than taking the shot.

After getting home it was out on the deck in late afternoon waiting for the Cardinal to take his turn at the feeder and as you can see above he is making off with a sunflower seed … the background is part of about one hundred yards between the 10th green and the 11th tee box where we live … a great backdrop in the afternoon!

The paint job on Knot Yacht came out beautiful … if you are in the market for a great shop to work on your boat and motors check out Unlimited Marine, owned and operated by my friend Blake Forrester in Flagstaff!

After taking a week long break from exercise, I got back on my Concept 2 Rower this afternoon and oh, did it feel good! Huge smiles! except for short periods for various reasons I have been doing daily aerobic exercises since I was 21 … it is addictive 🙂 Keep breathing, smile and be kind! Life is a fabulous gift!

    Cheers,

    Ted

Love some-one—in God’s name love some one—
for this is the bread of the inner life, without which
a part of you will starve and die; and though you feel
you must be stern, even hard, in your life of affairs,
make for yourself at least a little corner, somewhere
in the great world, where you may unbosom and be
    kind.

    Does it Really Matter?

Does it matter if life is illusory or real, if this a material world like most everyone thinks or a dream? It looks and feels real, it offers sensations and feelings that attest to its realness.
