… beauty in the woods of Northern Wisconsin get my attention even more than the wild colorful views favored by landscape photographers from certain high vantage points or along the highways that crisscross the state. I do enjoy getting those shots, but there is nothing like that one singular tree, nestled and hidden away from view of all but a few who know where they are lurking. This is a tree I shot in September from a boat in Smith Lake, which is accessed by a channel between the Upper Eau Clair and Smith Lake. Not many cabins on Smith and very few people go into the lake as it is relatively small and also very shallow. Anyhow it is a bright and beautiful tree and I’ll probably shoot it again next year.

Another fun day; time with friends and a nice party that the airport threw for pilots and hangar owners. Good food and even better company.
One is on a mission to undo all the work that my Merry Maids crew did today; currently she has turned over four waste baskets in the house (four to go) and is shredding the plastic bag liners that were put into them. Claws that are never clipped do a really good job on plastic bags.
Time to wrap the day … some sleep … some espresso and the beauty of another day will be here. Keep breathing and keep smiling … we are blessed!
Cheers
Ted

A peaceful heart, while quietly
I go my way
