The expression on the eagles face kinda says it all, and those talons are set to inflict some real damage. they sink the talons into prey with a force of 1,000 psi. Pretty sure this is an adult female bald eagle as her rear talon is about the same size as the forward ones; males have a shorter rear (hallux) talon. Also the females are larger than the males with wingspans of around eight feet, whereas the male is about six feet.
In reality, the eagle is picking leftover food from her beak … their idea of using a toothpick or flossing 🙂
