… down to the lake early morning and a launch into some pretty rough water with winds about double what had been forecast, but with wonderful photo opportunities all morning. I got the shot of the Horned Grebe cresting a wave before surfing the face of it … brought back memories of a day that Corky and I returned from the Isthmus at Catalina Island in heavy seas … climb the back and surf the face of the waves … a very long trip back to Newport Beach!

Below is a shot of a Great Egret that scored big time … three (count them) fish in his beak with one attempt. A great breakfast and he took them well ashore before consuming them lest one or more escape whilst he downed them.

Many more images to be worked up, but I felt I scored as well as the egret! Into the weekend for me and as always, the plan is to be back Monday morning. Have a joy filled weekend … keep breathing and smiling …. we are here!

    Cheers,

    Ted

City to Discuss Sedona Spy Cams

    By Tim Perry

As a reminder, the Sedona City Council has tentatively scheduled a special meeting for Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 3 p.m., at which city staff will endeavor to “educate” residents on why it’s a good thing that the city is building tracking maps of their every movement and giving that data to a private corporation to be used to advance its “Minority Report” agenda.
