    … the quiet and hidden neighbors that live among us and are seldom seen, but because of the time I spend on the deck I have a twenty year collection of photos of them … our resident population of Bobcats! I have been privileged to spend hours every year in close proximity to them as they enter our yard or cruise by on the edge of the arroyo on the golf course. Both of the photos in tonight’s email were shot in our backyard … but only with a camera:-) These beautiful creatures and I get along very well and I have spent around half an hour with some of them,

    One our cat before Katie delighted in chasing them out of the yard and in her life with us she chased at least thirty of them and probably more. During 2025 I’m hoping to get a lot of shots of them.

    Time to wrap the day as I’m leaving for the lake early in the morning … have a beautiful day, share a smile with those you meet and greet today … keep breathing and be kind.

    Cheers,

    Ted

    If you have spoken something beautiful,
    Or touched the dead canvas to life,
    Or made the cold stone to speak—
    You who know the secret heart of beauty;
    If you have done one thing
    That has made gentler the churlish world,
    Though mankind pass you by,
    And feed and clothe you grudgingly—
    Though the world starve you,
    And God answer not your nightly prayers,
    And you grow old hungering still at heart,
    And walk friendless in your way,
    And lie down at last forgotten—
    If all this befall you who have created beauty,
    You shall still leave a bequest to the world
    Greater than the institutions and rules and commerce;
    And by the immutable law of human heart
    The God of the universe is your debtor,
    If you have made gentler the churlish world.

    It Takes a Lifetime and Sometimes Even More

    By Amaya  Gayle

    Sedona, AZ — It takes a lifetime (perhaps lifetimes) of stretching and expanding, ripping and tearing, just to move through one’s predispositions, to meet one’s inbred resistance and evolve to the grace of simple tolerance. During this precious part of the journey, it feels like you are taking the steps, are choosing right, left or straight ahead, that you are in the game.
