… fish spotted … dive initiated and control over body, wings, tail, talons and all flight feathers all sequenced so that in the brief second or two it takes to complete the dive from about forty feet high on a branch in the tree he is diving next to, our Osprey will have rotated out of his head first dive and entered the water talons first directly over the fish he targeted. His wingspan is about five feet and you can see how he is controlling his descent with quick manipulations of body and wings.
Talk about a precise targeting system! Osprey’s can hit the water at speeds in excess of 80 mph and it is not unusual for them to submerge before lifting out with their powerful win beats and with fish in talons.
Below we have another fisherman departing his fishing hole and heading to a better spot … not a recreational pastime for these creatures … they are working for their daily bread so to speak … no work, no success and no food.

In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
Ted also does one-on-one workshops for those interested in learning the techniques he uses. By special arrangement Ted will do one-on-one aerial photography workshops which will include actual photo sessions in the air.
