… composites have long been one of my favorite expressions of beautiful and unusual subject matter … the purpose of a composite is to add to the beauty and wonder of a place and tell an extended story of what you capture … the creative artistry of the photographer, free from the constraints of reality … or is it the true reality if you but spend time dreaming on the beauty before you?

This one has long been among my favorite composites and I did the original one in 2008 and every once and a while I bring it back up and tweak it a little … like today. It is an image depicting Red Rock Crossing as the mystical and wondrous place it really is.

I’m running a very special promotion on this piece of digital art through the end of the year. It is available as a 30 x 20 inch print on Kodak Pro Luster photo paper which is the same as I use on all my other prints. $75.00 including shipping to your door ... my black Friday special. 30 x 20 inch prints are normally $250.00 each so this is your chance to score a fabulous bargain of a beautiful work of art.

Just click on https://store18482104.ecwid.com/ and it will take you to my secure online store … this is a featured item in the store!

Another day of healing and increasing my daily activities … another couple of weeks will be welcomed and those days will come and go too. So fortunate to be living in these days.

Have a beautiful day … we are here!

    Cheers

Though work bring naught of power nor wealth

Spare me from want of common needs,
And give a share of manly health,
A few good friends of honest deeds:

And till death’s peaceful slumber nears
    A life of undishonored years.

    The Symbolism of Jan. 6

    By Tommy Acosta
Don’t mess with symbols. Just ask author Dan Brown’s character Robert Landon. The worth of symbols cannot be measured. Symbols make the world-go-round. Symbols carry the weight of a thousand words and meanings. Symbols represent reality boiled down to the bone. Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
