    … the San Francisco Peaks and indeed everything else on the North American Tectonic Plate has moved westward a little over eight feet since I was born … about twenty feet since the United States was founded and more than 60 miles since the San Francisco Volcanic Field began to erupt. A very dynamic little planet that we live on.

    I took the shot above as I was cruising the western slope of the Peaks … Agassiz is direc6tly ahead and you can see some of the ski runs of Snow Bowl at about the same altitude that I was … the weather was ominous, but beautiful.

    The shot below is of a sea gull that I shot down at Lake Pleasant … some of the greatest ridge soarers ever … love seeing them running the slope lift at beaches where the cliffs go up from the beaches.

    Need to shut the day down as leaving for Lake Pleasant very early in the morning and morning is already here 🙂

    Have a beautiful day and share the joy that you find in your life … a smile too!

    Cheers,

    Ted

    Work as if thy task were made for thee;
    Be strong as if thou had courage,
    And charitable as if thou hadst been rewarded;
    Remain poor if riches are dishonorable,
    And carry poverty with the dignity of virtue.
    When others dine sumptuously, eat thy crust;
    Let love be thy guide and justice thy God—

    City to Discuss Sedona Spy Cams

    By Tim Perry

    As a reminder, the Sedona City Council has tentatively scheduled a special meeting for Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 3 p.m., at which city staff will endeavor to “educate” residents on why it’s a good thing that the city is building tracking maps of their every movement and giving that data to a private corporation to be used to advance its “Minority Report” agenda.
