    … I traveled all the way out to our back deck to get the shot above of a House Finch making off with a sunflower seed … I absolutely love the configuration of his wings, tail and other flight feathers as well as his body positions combined with the muted background which has him flying into the light … one of those shots that you immediately fall in love with … what remaining wall do I have to put it on?

    The photo below shows a Common Black Hawk as he is taking off from a rock in the fish pond at Rainbow Trout Farm Looks like he has a very young trout in his talons … maybe a very tender and succulent little guy.

    Both of my critters making off with food that they earned though their persistence and putting on full display the rewards of work!

    Into a new day and hoping that you had as good a day as me today … celebrations with friends and entering each new day breathing and looking life full on … breathing and making my choices for how to live the day … choose joy and smile!

    Into the weekend with plans to be here Monday morning with more natural beauty!

    Cheers,

    Ted

    One morn I rose and looked upon the world.
    “Have I been blind until this hour?” I said.
    O’er every trembling leaf the sun had spread,
    And was like golden tapestry unfurled;
    And as the moments passed more light was hurled was hurled
    Upon the drinking earth a thirst for light;
    And I, beholding all this wondrous sight,
    Cried out aloud, “O God, I love Thy world!”
    And since that waking, often I drink deep
    The joy of dawn, and peace abides with me;
    And though I know that I again shall see
    Dark fear with withered hand approach my sleep,
    More sure am I when lonely night shall flee,
    At dawn the sun will bring good cheer to me.

    Beatles Tribute at Blazin’ M

    I can honestly say, having grown up in the Bronx in the 60s, that if it had not been for the Beatles I most likely would have grown up to be a criminal or been killed in a violent gang war.
