… the rest of this year is going to be devoted to photos I took that I liked a lot when I shot them, but somehow lost the competition on the way to the email on any particular day. I took this shot in mid-September out behind our home, and whilst One was engaged in something else, this young squirrel was dining on a peach from the peach tree out back. Over the years that tree has produced tons of peaches … consumed by humans and critters, so it was just another relaxing afternoon and I got the lunch break.
It has been a quiet few days, visits with friends, lots of rest and reading. Still caught up in military history books and I am amazed at how sheer chance has decided so many battles … fortunately our mistakes were generally less egregious than those of our then enemies … today they are allies, friends and trading partners without whom the modern era would have trouble functioning … perhaps in another parallel universe there was a different outcome and in yet another the conflicts did not occur. Regardless of the wars, conflicts, police actions and interventions there are scenes like this everywhere on the planet … life continues and it is good.
Thanks for all the beautiful emails this week, over 200 in the last day and I will try to answer them all before years end.
Find time for a snack, take a break and lean up against a tree trunk and watch thee grass grow … there is a lesson in watching such great moments evolve as we absorb what peace and quietude as we can.
Keep breathing, keep smiling and find the time to be alone with yourself.

In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
Ted also does one-on-one workshops for those interested in learning the techniques he uses. By special arrangement Ted will do one-on-one aerial photography workshops which will include actual photo sessions in the air.
