… I truly enjoy all the wildlife shooting that I do and along with that I also love to shoot domesticated creatures too, whether it be my little feline One, or canine’s who are fascinated by One, such as Collie who comes by our home every day. I took this shot of Kaylee last night and she was totally focused on One, who was just a few feet away at the time I starting shooting her. The light and shadow were wonderful too and I took the shot at 6:57P with sunset at 7:44P. Something special about the creatures we choose to live with and the bonds we develop with them.

A quiet day of sorts with most of the day working on photos for presentation tonight at our little ISO 100 group. Good food, good company and exceptional photographs. Always good to see what others are shooting and learn techniques that they are using or have developed to create their favorite images. Good fun!

So this is the end of my week, if all goes according to plan, I’ll be back Monday morning. Have a beautiful weekend and enjoy each moment you find yourself in.

    Cheers

    Ted

The green of all the fields is mine, the stars, the night, the wind at play,
    A peaceful heart, while quietly

The Sad Lesson of Tyre Nichols
    By Tommy Acosta
Having grown up in the mean streets of the Bronx there is one lesson we learn early on, and that’s don’t mess with the cops when they got you down, and outnumbered. The beating of Tyre Nichols at the hands of the police preceding his death at the hospital could have been avoided if only he had the sense to not resist them. People fail to understand that on the streets, cops are basically “God.” You can’t fight them. If it takes one, two, five, ten or twenty officers they will eventually put you down and hurt you if they have to in the process of detaining or arresting you. In the Bronx we would fight amongst ourselves but when the cops came it was “Yes, officer. No, officer,” and do our best to look as innocent as possible. People need to understand that cops on the street represent the full power of the state and government. Read more→
