… it was great to be down at the lake and on the water today … the spring migration is in full swing, and we got great shots of a couple of White Pelicans among many others we have not seen since last fall when the fall migration was underway.

Above is a shot of a pair of double crested cormorants as they entered flight from the branch of a tree rising from the lake. The male has beautiful bushy black eyebrows which are just beginning to go white.

Below is a photo of an Avocet in breeding plumage coming in for a landing with a couple of buddies as they search for food … they are beautiful at all times, but in breeding plumage they have the rust-colored plumage on their head, neck and breasts.

Into the weekend and back Monday morning … a very Happy and Joyous Easter to my Christian friends and wishing joy and happiness to all … keep breathing, smile and live each day you are granted!

    With joy,

    Ted

I AM the dawn, the whisper of winds, the perfume
    of morning.

The passing night fondled me, hovering close to me,
    softly, silently.

The breaking day builds the spirit temple of my joy,
    I abandon myself!

It seems to me that never before have I walked with
the spirit as now, nor overcome space, time, and the
elements as I overcome them now.

    Does it Really Matter?

Does it matter if life is illusory or real, if this a material world like most everyone thinks or a dream? It looks and feels real, it offers sensations and feelings that attest to its realness.
