    Healing Paws

    By Ted Grussing

… I bit off a little more than I could finish tonight with an astro composite that I am doing with a shot I took on a walk up in Half Moon Bay this summer. I was walking down to the beach past the magical Ritz Carlton which overlooks the Pacific Ocean and I always get a sense that it is a castle when viewing it from down the shore and looking back north across the links style golf course. This is a different view than I normally put out of it and near the top of the path visible in this photo you get the wonderful views of the Pacific.

Another night I will finish this image, but for now it still captures the essence of what I want … it will take several hours to put the reflections in all the windows and of course the presence of One in a window or three … so it is a work in progress and hope you enjoy the beginnings. Most composites I can do in an hour or so, but the complex ones can take upwards of eight hours.

It was a very good day and time spent with friends and work around the house. Anthony was terrific tonight at the Hilton as was the food and service … Anthony is doing a show at Relics tomorrow night and it will be worth seeing.

Time for some rest … hope your day was as good as mine and that tomorrow will bring joy to your life and through you to others … smile and share it … even a smile in your voice to the noxious telephone solicitors who are simply trying to make a living like the rest of us … have to think about the political pollsters and callers for a few minutes though … aw what the heck greet them too rather than offer a gesture :+)

    Smiles

City Council Weighs ATV Ban Ordinance Proposal
    By Tommy Acosta
The Sedona City Council at its May 23, 2023 meeting took no action on a proposed ordinance that would ban all off-road vehicles from being driven on state-owned public roads or streets owned by the city. The ordinance, spearheaded by Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow on the premise that such vehicles pose a risk to the health, safety and welfare of the community, would impose heavy fines to anyone driving the ATVs or OHVs on city streets, including S.R. 179 and S.R. 89A. ATV rental companies have admitted that such vehicles are not intended or designed to be driven on paved roads, yet, in Arizona, they are allowed to do so under Arizona Revised Statute 28-1174 (4B). Opponents against the ordinance argued at the meeting that if adopted the ban would cripple the ATV rental industry in Sedona and cause much hardship to the owners and employees, as it would effectively, as written, destroy their livelihood.
