    … a couple of full body shots of a great blue heron and a great egret tonight … wishing I was on a cool lake up on the plateau … tomorrow morning the good people from Connolly Electric and Mechanical will be here to restore a cool and dry atmosphere to my home. It will be a pleasure, as saunas and steam rooms are not really my thing … Katie objects too but is a good sport about it.

    The top photo in the last email was Katie, but the one below the text was of One.

    Moving in on the FOURTH … what a great experiment was started 248 years ago … freedom and independence from oppressive rule … limited national government that gets a limited number of powers from the Constitution … what a concept! Things have changed substantially since our founding … planning on enjoying a great barbecue at a friend’s … she asked if she should throw “a dawg” on the barbecue for me and thanks to our friend auto correct I replied, “sure, throw a daughter on the grill for me!” Kinda hard to explain that one, but we’ll see what happens 🙂

    Have a beautiful day, keep breathing and share a smile with those you meet and greet … be sure to check your text messages before sending them to make certain that auto correct doesn’t alter your ability to continue breathing or smile in the future!

    Big grins!

    Occasionally permit self-abandonment to the
    caprice of beauty; rush past this sentinel that keeps
    you in the prisoned city, and live for an hour in the
    house of the world, acquainting yourself with the still
    people in the air.

    Learn the music of a summer night by the restless
    wave of the sea, or surrender to the sunlight of an
    open country where the illimitable sky at last meets
    to kiss the sweet green earth, and stay till the crimson
    shafts burn the western world;

    And something will rise in you that is not connected
    with the tiring routine of your trade— something
    strange and calm.

    Beatles Tribute at Blazin’ M

    I can honestly say, having grown up in the Bronx in the 60s, that if it had not been for the Beatles I most likely would have grown up to be a criminal or been killed in a violent gang war.
