By Ted Grussing
… imagine sunning yourself on a small island in the middle of a lake … you see a large boat with two creatures holding what appear to be large weapons pointed right at you. You start to get a little nervous, move around a bit and notice that they are getting close and closer and seem very threatening … the weapons are clacking and firing at you … wait and see is replaced by fight or flight and this cormorant chose flight and gave me this photo of him departing his little island for some more secure position. Pure power, pure functionality.
Long day mostly at the airport and heading back up in the morning … it never gets boring being in the air or for that matter on the ground working on it. Tiring being the heat for hours, but still, can’t think of place more fun … maybe lakes, fields and other places that you can just be in nature.
This is it for the week ,,, have a beautiful day and try to make it so for others you meet and greet throughout the day,
Cheers
Ted
For a few hours here in the still morning I wash myself clean of civilization, and purge myself of things and the accumulated rubbish of time.
I push back history, dismiss interpreters, and stand erect before the dawn, looking the universe in the face, and asking my own questions.
Tomorrow I shall return to the human wheels; but now I defy the world of customs and laws, of sophistry and serfdom; and I yield myself childlike
to the light and the air and the sweet scented dew.
