… I had my morning coffee on the back patio this morning and what better way to start the day than with a mug of home roasted coffee and a camera with my new lens on it … in a comfortable chair waiting for some critter to show up. The Dark Eyed Junco’s were feeding from the feeder I have in the pinyon pine in back. The photo above was shot at 800mm f9 from about 25 feet and the junco occupied a large part of the screen …. mercifully he is small as my depth of field was less than 2″.

Very happy with this lens and tomorrow I’ll be trying it with the 1.4 extender on it too … the equivalent of an 1120 mm lens. Friday, I tried it on the Red Tail Hawk nest, and it will be like shooting from very close! Canon 200-800 mm lens purchased from District Camera in Burke VA. I highly recommend them! Ask for Eldar or Jack.

A new and busy week has begun … enjoy it. Smile and keep breathing, life is grand!

    Cheers,

    Ted

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste and
remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good
terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly
and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and
ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud
and aggressive persons; they are veracious to the spirit.
