    … it was an absolute blast at the show yesterday and I love the intimacy of the smaller venue as it is so much easier to interact with the audience! Pretty sure that most of my future finale shows will be in there. Pat says that I have at least five more farewell shows to do … he told me last fall that if Cher can do seven farewell tours, I can do at least seven farewell shows … thanks Pat. It was sold out and a few chairs behind the installed seats were set up … yay!

    The Sedona International Film Festival has a new 32 foot blow up outdoor screen that they tested last night, and I understand it was awesome. I don’t see it on their website yet but click on the link and check it periodically. No more shows for me until November now and perhaps I will get through my portfolio by then and be organized? That is hilarious!

    One thing I did with my aerial Sedona shots in the program last night was to remove the city from the photographs … it took a while, but what a fabulous airscape it makes with 150 years of human civilization removed from the scene … love it! The photograph above was taken from SW of the city … you can see Chimney Rock as well as all of what used to be west Sedona and uptown. The loaf like mountain on the horizon if Morman Mountain and below it and to the right are the Sedona Mittens … and check out that predator cloud moving in.

    Below is a view of the area from over Jacks Canyon looking towards the WSW. Lower left corner is Bell Rock and to the right of it is Courthouse Rock … again, you will see that modern man has been removed from the scene … I did leave the top of airport mesa in green grass as I needed a place to land.

    I’m thinking of doing a book of airscape photography of northern Arizona as several friends are kinda pushing me in that direction … any interest?

    I’m going to be offline for a few days and will start catching up early next week.

    Thanks to everyone who showed up at the theater yesterday and I think you had as much fun as I did … November will be the next one, Thank you!

    Into the weekend … keep breathing, smiling and be kind to others … choose to live and enjoy each day you find yourself in!

    Cheers,

    Ted

    Give me to gladly go
    My way
    And say
    No word of mine own woe;
    But let me smiles each day.

    Give me the strength to do
    My task
    I ask;
    And that I shall not rue
    The toiler’s grimy mask.

    Give one loved hand to me,
    And leave
    The eve
    All undisturbed as we
    Our strength of souls retrieve.

    And lastly give sweet sleep,
    Closed sight,
    No fright
    That fears will o’er me creep;
    And now a sweet good-night.

    It Takes a Lifetime and Sometimes Even More

    By Amaya  Gayle

    Sedona, AZ — It takes a lifetime (perhaps lifetimes) of stretching and expanding, ripping and tearing, just to move through one’s predispositions, to meet one’s inbred resistance and evolve to the grace of simple tolerance. During this precious part of the journey, it feels like you are taking the steps, are choosing right, left or straight ahead, that you are in the game.
