    … Monday was a fabulous day on the lake, and we were second in line when they opened the gate that morning. Twenty minutes later we pushed off from the dock and just motored around to the south side of it and spent a few minutes shooting these beautiful Black Neck Grebes, formerly known as Eared Grebes. The light was awesome and then we headed up the western shore of Castle Hot Springs Bay ducking in many narrow bays off the main one and did pretty well. When we got to the end of the bay, we spotted a Green Heron fishing along the shore in very shallow water … he was not bothered by our appearance, and we spent over forty minutes with him … sometimes no more than ten feet away from him. He was getting small minnows every minute or so and in this shot he is flipping one to send it down his throat headfirst.

    On my way to shoot the Red Tail Hawks nest high in the cliff at Red Tail Cliff in the loop area, I stopped by the theater to see if anyone was coming to the show tomorrow afternoon. Pat told me that as of 3PM there were only ten tickets left … so if you would like to join me tomorrow afternoon, click on the red button below and buy a ticket before they are all gone. The venue is terrific and methinks it will be a fun time with photographs that I know you will love.

    Showtime in 11 hours so i will wrap the day and hope to see you this afternoon.

    Smiles,

    Ted

    When age has come, to-morrow
    You’ll speak with God to leave some kindly deeds
    Writ by your name that softened selfish creeds
    Of man’s slow moving love of brotherhood,
    That brought new hope to them who near you stood
    In life’s dark streets or sunlit meads.
    To-morrow you’ll ask God for better deeds.

    To-morrow, O to-morrow!
    Fast fall the fading years. A thought, a dream
    Of gentle words; of faith and love a theme;
    A smile, a step or two, and all is done.
    Quick is the veering stream of life full run;
    Yet in the crimson west still a gleam
    To-morrow and to-morrow’s endless dream.

    Does it Really Matter?

    Does it matter if life is illusory or real, if this a material world like most everyone thinks or a dream? It looks and feels real, it offers sensations and feelings that attest to its realness.
