    … once in a while it is fun to just kick back and spend time looking at favorite photographs from years past and such was the case this evening … I like all of the photos I send out, but there are those which grab your eyes and bring you back to when you took the shot. These two are among my very favorites … the portrait of the bobcat above drew me into his eyes when I took the shot, one of those sessions when I spent some time sitting on the ground not more than ten feet from him and we exchanged thoughts for a while … let yourself gaze into those eyes too!

    The mountain bluebird below was my prize out of more than 3000 shots at a little pond off of Beaver Flat road … something about the purity of the color and the satisfaction of nailing the shot on such a small bird that gives you no more than a quarter second warning of when they are going into flight 🙂 That was a memorable morning!

    Down to the lake in the morning, this time to launch the boat and get more bird shots. The lake is up about eight feet from last week … as always, I will find the shallow water 🙂

    Have a beautiful day … keep breathing … smile and be kind!

    With joy,

    Ted

    impose upon yourself the task of happiness;
    and now and then abandon yourself
    to the joy of laughter.

    City to Discuss Sedona Spy Cams

    By Tim Perry

    As a reminder, the Sedona City Council has tentatively scheduled a special meeting for Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 3 p.m., at which city staff will endeavor to “educate” residents on why it’s a good thing that the city is building tracking maps of their every movement and giving that data to a private corporation to be used to advance its “Minority Report” agenda.
