… in a wooded glen by the shores of a beautiful lake a fisherman strides to his perch overlooking the water so that he can spot his prey as it swims beneath him. Then from his perch he waits patiently and prepares his attack when the time is right. Like all of nature the rule is survival and he who does work does not survive … so skills are learned and passed down from generation to generation and skills are honed … methinks the prey also learns, but not as quickly.

I love the air quality up here lately. The government shutdown has caused the USFS to cease the near daily prescribed and pile burns and daily the air quality is improving. This would be a great time to go visit the Grand Canyon, or come up to Sedona and see the Red Rocks without that white smoke haze piled up against them. In 2013 during the shutdown in October, Cork and I went up to the Grand Canyon and I have never seen the air quality better. Hoping for some warmer weather so I can do some aerial photography in these great conditions too. Take advantage of it while you can!

Into my long weekend and I’ll be back Monday morning … saying good bye to 2018 and welcoming 2019 in. It has been an exceptional year and I expect nothing less in the new year.

Have a beautiful day and weekend … and smile, we are blessed.

    Ted

Everything is still, and the soft night air is cool.

… the moon is passing in and out of the clouds, making
a shadow-checkered day of the night, and breaking the sky with shafts of gold.

All silent, the universe is doing its work — beautiful, mysterious, religious.
