By Ted Grussing
… it was in early October and a beautiful blanket of snow covered the peaks in the San Francisco Volcanic Field, included in the snow covered peaks was Kendrick Peak, which rises about 2500′ above the surface of the plateau. It is the 12th highest peak in Arizona coming in at about 10,420′. I was flying at 9600′ so I was about 800′ below the peak which is wreathed in clouds and about 1600′ above the surface and on the SE side of Kendrick looking NW.
It was an exceptional day … rich Arizona blue skies, beautiful clouds, fabulous fall color, rich green pine forests and the privilege of being alone in the sky photographing the beauty. What a day!
Have another beautiful day today … smile and keep breathing!
Cheers
Ted
