By Ted Grussing
… such was the air over the plateau this morning … convection started very early with good lift about 9:30AM. It was just one of those mornings you are glad you woke and found yourself alive … the planet is still here … breathing and able to take in the beauty that is all around us. Not sure what the little lakes in the foreground are as they are normally dry meadows and love the little island with a single pine tree on it in the immediate foreground.
The lake center left is Rogers Lake and all the “bumps”, hills and mountains are compliments of the San Francisco Volcanic Field and eruptions and formation of cinder cones over millions of years … looking down into them there are some very beautiful pastures and currently small lakes. Winds blowing tomorrow afternoon, but Tuesday is looking good.
A fun weekend and looking forward to a beautiful week … time with friends, exploring new areas on the ground and in the air and a good hamburger or two … maybe I’ll take a great photograph and cut a beautiful gemstone … and see a radiant smile on some ones face. Good things to look forward to …
Cheers, life is good.

The green of all the fields is mine, the stars, the night, the wind at play,
A peaceful heart, while quietly
I go my way
