    … Spring is construction time for those feathered friends whose nest did not survive the year and these nests are either constructed or repaired twig by twig … and the great egret above is carrying one such small branch back to the construction site. Nothing good comes easy in this life and all we need to do is look around us at the enormous effort creatures everywhere put into their lives.

    Below the daily search for food is on display as the paths of a great egret and a snowy egret cross in the very shallow waters of a bay on the north end of Lake Pleasant … no work, no food.

    A beautiful weekend … time spent with friends and a special treat with lunch at T Cook’s in the Royal Palms Resort this afternoon … five star dining and ambiance. If you make a reservation request either Megan or Kim to be your server!

    Into a new week and time for a little rest before I continue the day. Keep breathing and smile … what a privilege to be here and share the beauty that is life!
    Cheers,
    Ted

    I ask no odds of any man,
    I am not one that follies sway.
    I am the source of my rewards,
    I do my work each day.

    The fruit of trees, the grain of fields,
    Wherever use and beauty lurk—
    The good of all the world belongs
    To him who does his work.

    It matters not if rich or poor.
    This is the future’s great command,
    Who does not work shall cease to eat;
    Upon this rock I stand.

    Though work bring naught of power
    nor wealth.
    Spare me from want of common needs,
    And give a share of manly health,
    A few good friends of honest deeds;

    And till death’s peaceful slumber nears
    A life of undishonored years.

    The Apprentice
    By Tommy Acosta
    Watching the latest debate from end to end once again it appears that the future of the GOP rests upon the shoulders of Vivek Ramasamy. Not sure exactly why but he simply outshines the pack. He has fresh energy and is light on his feet. He’s smart, confident and slick. He has snap. Crackle and Pop. He is young. A successful businessman and fearless. He is like a young Trump apprentice, full of vim and vigor and ready to rumble. Everyone else on the debate stage appeared dull, cranky or lifeless. Halley looked like she was suffering from a terminal case of constipation and badly needs a wardrobe manager. Christie looked like someone who bit into an apple, found a half-eaten worm, and decided to eat it anyway. DeSantis just keeps getting more and more boring; a somnambulist on Percocet. Scott looked like a misogynistic woman beater talking over Haley. Pence looked like an undertaker at his own funeral. Burgum, who? Read more→
