… time for another critter portrait and this time a beautiful shot of one of my neighbors. Name unknown, release not asked for, but what the heck we’ll publish her photo anyhow and take a chance that we shall not be sued. A solitary creature, she, but beautiful and can you believe it, she is wearing a fur coat! Geez, the nerve of some!

Unfortunately tens of thousands of these gorgeous predators are trapped and killed for their fur every year, including thousands in Arizona. A pelt from a cat of this quality will bring around $750.00. I’m all in for hunting, but to kill an animal of this beauty just for its pelt does not sit well with me … perhaps those who hunt and kill these cats need to eat the meat too!

I had a nice flight this afternoon and took three pictures, none of which was worth keeping; the air was filled with smoke and haze again … not heavy, but if you looked at Mingus mountain from the Sedona Airport all you could see was the silhouette through a white haze and that does not make for beautiful aerial photographs. The White Fire in Sycamore Canyon is still smoldering, but not much more than a very small village with wood burning fireplaces. The smoke drains down through the canyon into the Clarkdale area, but should be out soon.

Espresso and breakfast at Wildflower Bakery in the morning and down to Lake Pleasant in the afternoon … fun day!

Have a terrific day, smile and keep breathing … definitely with a mask though.

    Cheers,

    Beatles Tribute at Blazin’ M

I can honestly say, having grown up in the Bronx in the 60s, that if it had not been for the Beatles I most likely would have grown up to be a criminal or been killed in a violent gang war.
