… another shot of an Osprey as he leaves his perch at our arrival in the shallow branch off Castle Hot Springs Bay … a couple talons just leaving the branch he was perched on with legs extended after the initial thrust and the wings about to begin a power stroke as he enters flight. Yesterday was an exceptional day for getting excellent shots of many different birds engaged in the daily search for food.
A friend wrote regarding the sunset photos and said that there is nothing like a sunset over the ocean and I agree. The photo below was taken just after the sun slipped below the horizon as I was driving down coast highway north of Santa Barbara, California … and someone had tied up to a buoy and was swinging off the line for the evening. Brought back a lot of memories of when Corky and I would be tied to a buoy in Avalon Harbor or swinging off an anchor in Cat Harbor at Catalina Island …
Into the weekend and the plan as always is to enjoy the days and be back Monday morning … share a smile with someone and celebrate life … we are here!
Cheers,
Ted
A bird flies through the sky, and I fly with it. I am in
each pearl of moisture sparkling in the sun. I lie lazy
on the clouds. And I acknowledge my kinship with
each winged thing.
I see all as one, and nothing repels me, as this new
day climbs noiselessly out of the valley of night.
Peace lies over the world and over the world of my
soul.
