… we were down at Bubbling Ponds in Page Springs Saturday afternoon in search of whatever and we had an opportunity to get some shots of an adult female Belted Kingfisher and we were able to get within 50 ‘ of it without spooking it.
The photo above captured her just as she was giving herself a massive push off from the valve she was perched on … similar in effect to using a catapult off an aircraft carrier. The photograph below is approximately .067 seconds into flight after the push off! Fun to watch these amazing creatures as they go about their every day life. We continue to learn from them.
Into a new week and a new month … only three and a half weeks until Christmas is here … I’m ready … well not quite ready, as there are still some Christmas presents to make. It was wonderful to have Gigi, my youngest daughter here for a visit and spend a lot of time just hanging out; something special about doing not much!

In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
Ted also does one-on-one workshops for those interested in learning the techniques he uses. By special arrangement Ted will do one-on-one aerial photography workshops which will include actual photo sessions in the air.
