Keep Sedona BeautifulSedona AZ (August 9, 2021) – Yavapai County is in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan to cover the next 10 years. This critical document will guide the Planning and Zoning Commission, as well as County Supervisors as they consider development proposals over the next decade.

If you are not yet familiar with the process for updating the Comprehensive Plan, CLICK HERE for an explanation.

20210809_ksbBy law the County must include a section in its Comprehensive Plan covering water, a critical topic in drought-stricken Arizona. The law states that the Comprehensive Plan must include “Planning for water resources that addresses: (a) The known legally and physically available surface water, groundwater and effluent supplies. (b) The demand for water that will result from future growth projected in the comprehensive plan, added to existing uses and (c) An analysis of how the demand for water that will result from future growth projected in the comprehensive plan will be served by the water supplies identified in subdivision (a) of this paragraph or a plan to obtain additional necessary water supplies.”

Through the years, I saw myself as a herald—someone who could help people, through my writings, liberate themselves from programmed ignorance and institutionalized stupidity. Well, now that I am in the third act of my life, my understanding of how the world works has changed.
