Sedona, AZ — Some say it’s better to look good than feel good. Some believe it’s better to feel good than look good. Well, Lasergirl Skincare SuperheroTM in the heart Sedona will make you look good and feel good at the same time.
Utilizing the latest laser light, vibrational and radio frequency technologies known to modern day science, Lasergirl Skincare SuperheroTM has elevated aesthetics to the level of art. As LGSCS founder and owner Anita Marcus explains, that by removing unwanted elements they can preserve and enhance your desired physical attributes, restoring and beautifying them.
“We take away what you don’t want and preserve what you do want,” she said. “We remove unwanted hair, moles, skin tags, hyperpigmentation from sun damage and broken capillaries. We restore youthful skin. We bring back rejuvenated skin, collagenated skin. We can restore hair. We can increase your libido. We can bring back the youthful biome in the vagina. We can pretty much rejuvenate and restore your healthy skin.
“We also take away tattoos. We do body contouring so you can lose inches safely and painlessly. We can increase your muscle tone and fibers with our state-of-the-arts equipment. We can improve the muscle tone and quality of your face, including bone density. We do full body waxing, and chemical peels. Yes, it’s all very restorative.”
It was a severe case of sunburn that inspired Anita to pursue a career in cutting-edge aesthetics
“It was a sunburn actually, that set me on my path,” she said. “I was in nursing school. I burned my chest while hiking in the Grand Canyon. We did a rim-to-rim, and I didn’t protect it. So, I was researching how to get rid of brown spots from the sun and ran across Intense Pulse Light therapy (IPL), which was the first machine built that uses intense pulse light, which is light in the visible spectrum. When you run that machine, it’s very bright. It’s like a popping, sensation when used. It feels like a rubber band snapping. But it eliminates browns and reds, and it fixed most of my sun damage. It worked so well that I decided to learn more. So, I went to laser school in June of 2015 and opened in October of 2015 with a used IPL machine and two female investors.”

With more than 20 specialized machines in her office she and her staff are able to specialize in all kinds of restorative and beautifying aesthetic treatments. It took years of research and traveling to trade shows to accumulate these expensive and effective machines.
“I got my machines from various sources,” she said. “I started with this equipment supplier and I had purchased a broken machine without knowing it. Fortunately, there was an umbrella company out of Colorado that restores and repairs machines, so they came to me and repaired it. It was a Japanese company. Over the years, I sourced many machines from them. As of the last three years we have gone to three trade shows and in the last two years we established manufacturer relationships. So now we cut out the middleman; in other words, I’m the middleman. So now we’re branding and sourcing our machines.
Her machines work on the principle that by stimulating the skin and slightly irritating it, the body sendsmessages to heal itself, thereby activating the body’s own mechanism for restoration.
“It’s a controlled injury,” basically,” she said. “We are like oysters; we respond to irritation. So, let’s just say you cut yourself, you hurt yourself, it scabs over and the healing process begins. Well, if you do that in a controlled way that’s safe, your body’s going to rejuvenate new fibers. That’s how it works. It’s a damage that the body has to repair. So when we’re little, when we’re babies, you have new skin every seven days. You don’t see it; you’re not peeling, but it’s brand new baby skin. What happens is when we age, cellular turnover rate slows down. The process really slows down after fifty. It takes six weeks before your skin rehabilitates itself. Therefore, when you go in and heat it up, it doesn’t like it, but it’s also saying, ‘Oh, I know how to do that. I remember how to be young again.’”
LGSCS also offers treatments to improve sexual health and vitality.
“We will be offering treatments that improve female sensation and vaginal rejuvenation,” she said. “We also have two devices that are for erectile dysfunction. We have bioidentical hormones for both men and women. This really separates us from other laser treatment facilities. There are no others doing what we are doing when it comes to sexual health.”
Anita believes in keeping her prices at a level that most people can afford.
The average price for and length of treatments I would say is about $300, probably right in the middle there,” she said. Our lowest price would be $195 for an IPL, and that’s about 30% less than anybody else. Our highest price would be if we’re doing a cellulite treatment on long legs; that can take you up to $1500. It’s better than surgery.”
Anita is also authorized to offer courses to certify other aestheticians to operate their own laser skin treatment business, at a price they can afford.
“I can do the same thing that National Laser or SWINA or Clear Skin Institute. I can issue a certification,” she said. ‘I’m going to do one-on-one or two-on-two at a time. In January, I’m teaching a mother and daughter, who want to open in Austin, TX. I will certify them and at that point, they’ll pursue it with me and operate under my license, under my name, kind of a license agreement situation, and I’ll help them get started. I want to make sure if somebody takes my class that they have a means to use it, and if I can’t employ them, I want to make sure they’ve got an opportunity to do so for themselves as well.”
LGSCS has also developed its own product line people can utilize at home for beautification and restoration
called “Own Your Youth.”
“It’s EMS technology electromagnetic electrical muscle stimulation combined with LED lights, that you wear around your neck,” she said. “There’s one device for the under chin; there’s one for cheek, and there’s one for under the eye. All three devices are in the box. And there’s a 24-karat gold mask in included from a Korean company. When we add the gold, the conductivity is amazing. So, you’re doing the kind of care that tissue cannot do by itself.”
Anita believes using her laser technology and other aesthetic technologies she provides can eliminate the need for surgical face lifts and looks forward to proving it.
“All these non-invasive tools can be used to prevent having to go under the knife,” she said. “That is my personal goal. I’d like to actually prove that these lights and energies will prevent that being necessary.”
