Verde Valley AZ (July 8, 2016) – Just today, YCSO deputies have responded to several calls regarding target shooting in Yavapai County. This is a reminder that a Stage 1 Fire Ban remains in effect for the Prescott National Forest and Yavapai County along with all local fire departments and districts. Yavapai County and Forest Service officials continue to evaluate conditions, but with a lack of rain in the forecast, the fire restrictions will remain. As always, target shooting is never permitted on State Trust Land.
