    Spring Heritage Pecan & Wine Festival

    logo_townofcampverde2Camp Verde AZ (March 12, 2014) – The Town of Camp Verde and its partners are pleased to announce the lineup of Verde Valley Wineries for this year’s Spring Heritage Pecan and Wine Festival. It includes:

    • Alcantara Vineyards and Winery
    • Pillsbury Wine Company
    • AZ Stronghold Vineyards

    The Spring Heritage Pecan and Wine Festival, an event for the entire family, will take place on Saturday March 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday March 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Camp Verde. In addition to the wine tasting event under the big tent, the Verde Valley Archaeology Center will host the Verde Valley Archaeology Fair and Indian Art Show, and the Verde River Valley Nature Organization will host the Verde River Runoff canoe and kayak race, both on Saturday and Sunday.

    Other activities including music, historic tours, kite flying, games, contests and hands on archaeology for the kids. Summer Place Pecan Farm will be the sponsor behind a pecan pie baking contest as well as activities at the farm, located at 213 E. Quarterhorse Lane. And last but not least, on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Fort Verde State Park will host the 2014 Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans celebration, an event that will honor all of American’s veterans.
