logo_soundbitesgrillSedona AZ (December 16, 2017) – Sound Bites Grill, Northern Arizona’s premier live music night club and fine dining restaurant, has a bountiful Christmas and holiday musical offering bound to delight the fun-loving kid inside all of us.

Kicking of the Christmas weekend in the Sound Bits Grill Showroom is singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Darius Lux on Friday, Dec. 22 from 7 to 10 PM.

The band plays danceable soulful / pop / reggae, some original and some covers. Darius has an incredible voice and writes great music.

His voice is slightly raspy, but soothing and with Ed Barattini (drums) and Troy Perkins (bass) voice the band has a unique sound unto their own. The evening is designed for dinner and dancing at one place at one table.

Darius Lux is originally from London, then New York, L.A. and now Sedona. He performs all over Northern Arizona solo and with the band. When singer/songwriter Darius Lux left the confines of New York City to travel the world for a year, he didn’t fully comprehend the life changing pilgrimage he was embarking on.

He came back as a free-thinker and inspirational lyricist. Combining his love of 60’s songwriting, 70’s soul, 80’s pop and 90’s hip-hop into a current mix of soulful, rock-edged pop tunes, Darius found his voice on his debut record “Arise,” took us to the streets of Los Angeles for his EP “Time is Now” and now presents his new album “We The Living”.

From Protest Signs to Missiles: Why Peace Needs Teeth
    .By Tommy Acosta

As a child of the ’60s, I grew up hating war—protesting and demonstrating against them, uncovering as a writer the global military-industrial complex, and seeking peace with my pen. Through the years, I saw myself as a herald—someone who could help people, through my writings, liberate themselves from programmed ignorance and institutionalized stupidity. Well, now that I am in the third act of my life, my understanding of how the world works has changed.
