Camp Verde, AZ- Seed Saving for Home Gardeners Presentation at Camp Verde Community Library

Curious about saving seeds from your own vegetable garden? Do you want to continue growing favorite varieties year after year?

Gardeners across the country are saving their own seeds. For our area, it means that we can develop local varieties that are disease and pest resistant in our soils, are able to withstand our extreme heat, our dry climate, and produce well in our local environment.

“Seed Saving for Home Gardeners” will be presented by a Local Yavapai County Master Gardener where we will learn the basics of saving seeds. Topics to be covered include:

    • Why save seeds?
    • Identifying seeds to save
    • When and how to collect seeds
    • How to dry seeds
    • Best methods for storing seeds

Where: Camp Verde Community Library in the Terracotta Room

    When: September 18th

    Sedona Gift Shop

    Time: 5pm to 6:30pm

Registration is suggested, but not required.

This presentation is provided by the Yavapai County Master Gardeners and the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension.

    Does it Really Matter?

Does it matter if life is illusory or real, if this a material world like most everyone thinks or a dream? It looks and feels real, it offers sensations and feelings that attest to its realness.
